I didn't, because I noticed the launcher had updated to saying they were working on it.

I last did a fresh install for CBE2 and it updated to CBE3 client with no problems

Only 2GB and same thing happened like the last time. First the download speed is 5M and now it's around 80kB/s.

Edit: works ok now, I already hear loaders clanking as they feed bullets to my mechs magazines.

Oh for those still getting the error message, I recommend a full uninstall. Re-download the installer and then run a fresh install. I was getting the error still while my roommate was already downloading the latest patch and it worked.

Uninstalled & reinstalled 3 times, no luck...still unauthorized :/. Never played Hawken before, so can't have any alpha stuff remaining either. I did download the installed from the /beta page when it was still saying "beta 2" though. Still, uninstalled that, redownloaded installer - unauthorized. boo.

still having same issue as well have uninstalled cleand reg and all files about 5 or 6 times now to no avail really sucks...

Problem still persist after numerous clean installs,
I don't know if this will help diagnose the issue but i do notice that during installation only 676kb of data seem to copy during  install even tho total file size required is about 5gb,  not sure if maybe the installer is not functioning properly

I reinstalled and it is all working for me now. Removing the previous CBT install does the trick.

Uninstall, delete Hawken folder into ".../My documents/My games", install and it should work fine and nicely. Luck with that!

For me nothing worked. I tried to fresh install 3 times and yes, I removed all dump manually and cleaned the registry after each uninstall. Still not authorized. But for what I've noticed so far (reading the forums), they did nothing to optimize the game, and those frame issues are still on. This said, I'm packing my suitcase and going to mom's place. Some day after 12.12 I come back, sugar, but for now I need some time alone. Yes, I'm meeting PS2 once in a while, but I swear we're just friends. So far.
