Would love to see this sort of thing in the background of maps.

Imports perfectly into UDK and UE4 with tiled heightmaps to help with LOD and Level streaming. Plus you can output slope weights and other things to UE layer weights.
Would make a nice siege map. Each base on it's own peak and the fighting is happening down in the valley.
Srsly I think we need some bigger maps :/

I understand no single bit of that.
For me these are just some beautiful white moutains.

He made the backdrop for a map using an engine akin to the Hawken engine. Basically, if someone wanted to, they could install that mountain set to a map that HAWKEN already has, for example: Bunker. The map with all the snow and ice, basically rather than looking out and seeing a couple of drab mountains, you would be in the center of a tremendous, and beautiful valley.
I assume, its she*
But that's cool. Can someone create an underwater station please?

My gender is biscuit/cookie.
But yes. It is a terrain generation program that can also be used with UDK/UE4 (What Hawken is made with.) So if the Hawken devs wished for a new style of backdrop or terrain it is INCREDIBLY easy to import it straight from the program into the engine. (Can be tiled to stream and LOD easily too, and not even require manual material panting with any textures.)
