Hello, recently i started playing hawken, and i love it. But when i woke up this morning i couldnt get it to load at all. What happens is, when i double click on the icon at the desktop, steams bootstraper client comes up, then autocloses within a second of being opened.

At first i was like, no big deal, probably just my proxy server being silly again, waited a hour, reset my laptops wifi, and then waited. Lets fastforward 3 hours or so, i try again. Same thing happens. At this point i think it may just be my shortcut is faulty, so i launch the steam app, go to  my library. I try it there, again same thing happens, bootstraper comes up and autocloses itself. Im quickly running out of ideas to fix it. I go to HAWKEN's page on steam, and try launching it there, same thing happens.

Ive tried opening other apps, and they work.

Im pretty much out of ideas, and im already undergoing hawken withdrawal. :P

Thanks in advance, ChernobylTM

Did you already check if there is a Hawken-related error record in Window's event viewer?

Hello there. Mine is almost the same.

Please consider creating a seperate thread for your problem next time.

Faulting module name: nvd3dum.dll

That nvd3dum.dll error indicates a driver crash. The devs already reached out to Nvidia to get more information about the crash. I haven't heard of an official solution yet.

I don't know if anyone has tried it before but if you want to you can try if reverting to an older graphics card driver "fixes" the crash. If you don't want to try it I recommend to open a ticket on Hawken's official customer support page: https://hawken.zendesk.com/hc/en-us .

Sorry about the long wait: But I performed a clean install of an older driver of Nvdia and it worked ! Seems like the newer driver I was using at the time was conflicting with Hawken. Thanks for your help ReEvolve.
