While this does provide legitimate definitions, it should be noted that parts could be considered NSFW.

Suggested multiple times across the forums, I figured it was time someone got their fuzzy bunny together.

This list is alphabetized, I will be following it, and your suggestions will be reviewed and verified. Also some things are in comic sans because no dictionary is complete without comic sans.

This is something I drew up in roughly an hour. There are definitely things missing, and I will certainly add to it.

A is for apple. Slightly better than ded babies.

AA: (Noun) Anti Aircraft. It is a location on any map capable of playing the Siege game mode with a certain radius within which players who control the AA contribute to the firing rate, or halting of the firing, of the AA.

AC: (Noun) Air Compressor. The AC is a 3 slot internal available to any mech. It allows for limited sideways maneuverability while airborne at the cost of fuel.

Adhesive Games: (Proper noun) Dates pending research, but the previous developers of Hawken. They went bankrupt, but first created this most glorious contribution to mankind.

Alpha: (Noun2, Verb1) A stage of a game prior to Beta. Primarily seen as a limited introduction of a new game to the public. Hawken underwent an Alpha phase from (reply with dates plz).

Also may refer to an alpha strike, meaning the first series of shots in an engagement, typically done on an unsuspecting victim. As a verb it refers to the act of performing an alpha strike.

Ascension: (Proper noun) A stage of Hawken that made a lot of people angry. Details pending actual research and or people in this thread doing research for me and telling me things.

Axe: (Noun) Hawkenspeak for "Mech".

B is for banana. Checkmate, atheists.

Battle Turkey: (Noun) A term of somewhat unknown origin referring to the G2 Raider.

Beach: (Noun) Any position on a map that can be cheesed, or offers a significant strategic advantage.

Beta: (Noun) A test phase of a game generally preceding public release. It is the current official state of Hawken. Hawken's beta has seen several forms, notably Closed Beta, Open Beta, Ascension and Pre-Ascension. The Open Beta was introduced 12/12/12.

C is for comic sans. All hail the one true font.

Cavorite: (Noun) A fictional metallic substance that possess anti-mass properties. It's infusion (as well as nanocavorite) into the chassis of Axes is responsible for their seemingly physics defying mobility.

Clan: (Noun) A group of people that play the same game and decided to name themselves. Generally a clan is formed with the goal of developing teamwork skills and occasionally participating in tournaments and the like. A list of Hawken clans can be found here.

Cheese: (Verb, Noun) The act of exploiting a game's meta in a manner that takes significantly less skill than the intended effect ought to require. The noun refers to an act or period of time in which a user cheesed often.

Cowbell: (Noun) A term referring to a Brawler utilizing the SA Hawkins. Origin is apparently a (likely inebriated) conversation had during a weekly event.

Crion: (Proper noun) One of three major multi planetary corporations. Crion became defunct with the explosion that gave birth to the uncontrolled spread of the Hawken virus. Crion was largely known for their scientific and technological innovation.

D is for ded. A four letter word pronounced just fine with three letters. Stupid English language...

Deathball: (Noun) A group of players, generally an entire team, that sticks together at all times. It is a valid strategy, but it is notorious for being frustrating to the enemy team as without coordination it is largely unassailable. It also has a tendency to mess with the enemy's spawn points, forcing the other team to take circuitous routes to get back to their own team, or engage the enemy in a numerically inferior fashion.

Dumbfire: (Verb) To fire the hellfire missiles without locking on to a target.

E is for ebola. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEBOOOOOOLAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

E-Peen: (Noun) Stands for "Electronic Penis" and is closely associated with MMR. It's a term used almost exclusively with levity.

G is for Gimli, the real Axe pilot.

GF: (Expression of a noun + an adjective) In most mediums of communication, GF stands for "girlfriend", but I'm not really sure what that is, so in game, GF means "good fight". It's often dropped at the end of an engagement as a signifier of respect for the other player.

GG: (Expression of a noun + an adjective) Good game. A customary salute to the preceding game. Widely recognized as good manners to say.

N is for Nevada. Slightly less populated than Kansas.

Nanocavorite: (Noun) A synthesized version of cavorite created by Dr. James Hawken.

Noob: (Noun) A new player. It is often used as a derogatory term, but not always. Context is important.

should cover the comp locational shorthands like bakery, library, basement, etc.

some other terms off the top of my head are eu, internal abbreviations like ac, rk, etc., mech abbreviations like ss, crt, weapon abbreviations like ar, rev, and maybe some lesser memes like windwalking. hc and mc seem like good inclusions as well.

"alpha" may also refer to "alpha strike".

Also I'm pretty sure weapon utility is MMB by default, not F (looking at the red beam section).

EDIT: I believe I was in the match in which the term "cowbell" was coined. IIRC it was a bunker siege on funtime friday in which a conversation went roughly like this:

-"you know what we need? we need more Hawkins Brawler"

-"What we need is more cow bell"

-"Hawkins Brawler is cowbell?"

-"Hawkins Brawler is cowbell."

EDIT 2: Bumblebee mech, referring to a space bar hero, normally a Zerk (Zerk, noun, Berzerker)

Fat: heavy mech/mechs.

Fart-hammer, thermometer: craftyisms for point-d vulcan and fred/assault, respectively.

Goomba: jumping on top of another player.

GL: acronym used to describe the grenade launcher. Occasionally used to describe launchers the projectile.

fuzzy bunny is a noun, as in I'll fuzzy bunny you up.

Pubstomping is a whole different strategic discussion, however, and usually just becomes an exploration of the ethics of dumpstering randos.
