I think that each region should have a fight club. I realize that maybe this kind of conflicts with the road map for private servers, but I think that the two can coexist. Fight clubs should be open to the public so that people can have 1v1s, This is currently a niche that is not met for a huge part of the Hawken populace that doesn't have access to private servers such as clan and tpg servers. Fight club is a great way to improve, settle beef, or just have some good fights.

 

TL;DR: I know that individuals may be inclined to host fight clubs once private servers roll out, but I believe there should be fight club servers separate from this.

I like this idea, and I think that it could work.

 

On one condition though: Change the map. And no, I do not mean a complete over-haul, but a simple system that could possibly be implemented to help the map. Two people enter the arena - one in red, one in blue, the map blocks out another from entering red when someone has entered red and the same with blue. After someone dies in the duel, both players are teleported out to the side-lines. Then the cycle continues. Main flaw is that it could become a "rush-to-fight" kind of thing and everyone rushes for that portal rather than observing the match. But I think that if a public Fight Club server would be a thing, that this should be implemented, especially for regions like the US and EU - the popular regions.

You do not need that kind of system in place if you can reason with the people on the server (or kick them). We used that map for 2v2 TDM fights with friendly fire for example.

That's fine for most of the more vocal players on the forums since they often have at least some access to a currently existing private server. But much of the population doesn't have that option.
