A space marine/adeptus astartes of the Ultramarines with a normal bolter. Mary-sue.

 

 

Another Mary-sue space marine/adeptus astartes of the Ultramarines, a honour guard member of the first company, dual-wielding power swords. Just somewhat more badass than the first pic. Just a little.

 

 

 

A Crimson Fist space marine/adeptus astartes with a boltpistol and powerfist. Not to be messed with.

 

 

Space marines/adeptus astartes of the Black Templars, with power swords and a storm shield. Anger incarnate. 

 

 

Assault marines of the Blood Angels with boltpistols and (I think?) a chainaxe. Swoosh swoosh chop chop *ded* *ded*

 

 

Chaplain Merek Grimadius of the Black Templars, Hero Of Hellreach, and an Emperor`s Champion of unknown name. Now just let us take a moments to unzip our pants in all his badassness.

 

 

Space marine/adeptus astartes of the Howling Griffons with a normal bolter.

 

 

A chaos space marine with a boltpistol and powerclaw (chaos equivalent of powerfist) of what I believe is the Word Bearers legion.

 

 

Legion Of The Damned, coming to save the day + slaughtering everything.

 

 

Iron Hands space marine with a bolter and lots of lots of shiny metal stuff. The flesh is weak!

 

 

Iron Hands space marines with bolters. Notice he who carries 2 of them. Either he hit absolutely nothing or is a complete badass. Both most likely.

 

 

A Grey Knights fighting against the forces of chaos. So shiny~

A Grey Knights Librarian. Or a more appropriate name, mindviolator.

 

Salamander space marines. Hard to believe by the picture but these are the friendliest people in the 40K universe. They luv their flammenwerfers.

 

A Salamander astartes equipped with a plasma-combi bolter and a power maul, and a Sister Of Battle with a bolt pistol fighting against tyranid genestealers. They b ded.

 

Salamanders legionnaires on the battlefield of the Istavaan V massacre, finding the helmet of their primarch, Vulkan. He like hammers and fire.

 

Captain Gavriel Loken of the Sons Of Horus confronting the First-Captain Ezekyle Abbadon during the Istavaan III Atrocity. Ezekyle Abbadon is in the current time of 40K known as Abbadon The Despoiler, leading the 13th Black Crusade towards the gates of Cadia, and if they fall the Imperium will be invaded by the forces of Chaos at a scale only compared to the Invasion Of Terra in the 31st millennium. The Champion Of Chaos Undivided and the archnemesis of the Imperium. Which is weird since he has only been a complete failure really.

Oh, and everything here is part of the Warhammer 40.000 universe.

But how weird is that ? There was a dude long time ago that barely knew how to draw but had the passion for this universe and he came up with these huge silly shoulder pads maybe not without the help of some shitty art director. And now it's unthinkable to maybe change those to something more logical. It became a defining feature of these silhouettes. A brand's sign? Everyone recognizes that as warhammer instantly. Weird.

In a universe where humanity is only held together by their faith in a living corpse who controls an empire with his mind while fighting against the ruinous powers in another dimension, while untold trillions of men with only their belief protecting them and their legions of tanks and hundreds upon thousands of genetically engineered super-soldiers equipped with some of the strongest weapons in mankind`s history, both being given their equipment by a faction who believes in the god of the machine, hoarding and praising all old equipment, fighting against the asexual orks who spread by fungi, the ancient dying race of the eldars with extreme knowledge of the use of psychic powers, their sadistic twins who torture, violate and pillage just for their enjoyment, the deamons and followers of chaos and it`s 4(5 with Malice) gods who are at a constant war with everything in the Milkyway galaxy and each other, the highly technologically advanced and "peaceful" Tau and their belief in doing everything for the Greater Good, the ancient legions of metal bodies and pyramids to the Necrons in the search of bodies they can live in after their imprisonment in metal bodies, and the Tyranids coming from the galactic east, having eaten countless galaxies of all life and earned the name of The Great Devourer. 

 

Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

One can say that the universes exist in each other, as Hawken is based in the years of 2500-3000 while Warhammer 40.000 got the main focus on the period from 30K to year 40999, which is where the story has stopped up for a while now because Games Workshop are a bunch of gnomes.

Things have changed theses monthes :

- horus heresy  made by forgeworld (PRIMARCH SPOTTED ;-) )

- Ad Mech release (I would have loved to play them when I was younger and playing 40k v2).

- GW ended WFB (end of time), I wonder if they'll do something with 40k.

- A new speessmareens codex  (no things haven't changed that much :-) )
