After every round here's how much you wait:

- 15 seconds for the carousel

- 60 seconds lookin at the scoreboard

- wait again for people to ready up

- 10 more seconds to admire the scoreboard

- 40 seconds of chitchat

 

 

 

 

And cuz of this people don't stay in the lobby and prevent the autobalance from balancing the game. Instead, servers are filled by late-joiners.

 

Anyways.

 

The suggestion is to have a ready for next match function, which, when clicked by everyone (which can happen often enough) then the map is immediately rolled.

 

Once that's done, the ready up button will show up but already clicked (so everyone is in a state of ready) and the 10 seconds timer starts.

 

If enough people unready then it will stop, maybe some people want to do something in the garage or do something AFK.

 

 

In any case, this will cut down the waiting time big time, and I'm sure many will appreciate it.

Thats actually a nice idea.  We already have a "Ready" button before the game starts, so why not a "Ready for the next match" button.  Good suggestion.

That probably wouldn't be a good idea.  Some people don't play 4 - 5 rounds in a row (like me), so It would probably only work with one match.

The reason people don't stay in a match is because there is no incentive to.

There are all kinds of incentives to leave though - even bonuses for jumping out and getting on to another game mode.

 

My suggestions for improving a servers player retention are:

• No 'Daily Win Bonus' for each game mode unless you were in there from the beginning.
• A multiplier bonus for "Consecutive Matches on the Same Server". (the longer you stay in the same server, the bigger the bonus is when you leave)
• More functionality in the Garage and Store while still in a server. (I realize some things just can't be done, but this is often an excuse people use for why they are leaving - though I don't always believe them)

I second these.

I made 2 threads previously suggesting HC bonuses for consecutive games in one server.

 

About the garage functionality while in server: I think some actions are not possible because doing them while in a lobby means there's a possibility for a transaction or an operation in general to be interrupted because the access time to the garage is limited. Those interruptions can either damage the player's account or mess up transactions and maybe be some sort of an exploit ... IDK ... all this may be wrong.

No but seriously, i don't see this as a huge issue. In the MLG EU server the people are funny and i like the chat & all that takes place between the games. Also we know each other so well that we stay and no one leaves once it gets real.

I'd rather see a decrease of time it takes for you to respawn once killed. It's like 5 seconds or something. Way too long, especially considering the low TTK.
