I just installed win10 over my win 7. Now when I try to play hawken it won't run. when I click on the Hawken 32, I see that it says 32-bit DX9 (Not responding).
Anyone know the solution?

Did you install all the prerequisites? Sometimes a steam install doesn't execute them on the install script.
Manually install them, they are listed on the common fixes page.

I don't know, how do I find out? I can get hawken to work in capability mode.

Install 4, 5 and 6.
Also, I saw today that Nvidia is shipping WDDM 2.0 Drivers for 600 and higher series cards. http://www.anandtech...support-summary
Not sure if it could be related to that or not, it shouldn't but could be. I'd be willing to bet a double double animal style from In-n-Out its the 3 prereqs I listed earlier though.

Thanks to everyone that answered. I download the DX9 but it told me that I had the latest version already installed. What I was able to do is to run the windows compatibility and it recommend the setting to use. And then it started working. I have no problems with any other games, just Hawken. I even deleted Hawken and re-downloaded and that did not fix it either. Maybe someone else will run into the same issue, but for now, I am up and running.
How I fixed the problem:
1) I went to where steam installed Hawken.
2) I found the hawken exe file, don't remember the exact file name.
3) right click on the exe and click on the compatibility
4) Windows did it things and asked me to try using the settings that it set. Then it started working and I had it save the settings.
