I have slow internet.  I live on the west coast.  There are only two servers that are "playable" for me, LA and Dallas.  I don't use the MM because I'd rather not play then get put in any of the other servers, and yes they are that bad (especially Kansas and Chicago which are worse than Ashburn in my experience, despite my location).

Suggested fix: add something like a checkbox feature with which you can mark the server locations you want the MM to put you in.  I'm sure some people would only check one server location, this would probably slow down que times for most people using the MM, but if the population ever grows it would be less of an issue.

Another thing that probably isn't news to many of you is that the MM is somewhat exploitable when used in conjunction with the server browser, just look at the servers that are up and you know exactly what game the MM is going to put you in.  Only problem is when that match is on a server I'm not willing to play on, and the other matches are below my level so I can't join them via server browser.

I kinda lost my train of thought a bit cause I'm tired but basically I only want to play on Dallas and LA servers... maybe there should be USW and USE?  I guess that won't happen unless there are more people playing but it still sucks.

P.S. Don't quote steamchart figures to me, no way am I launching steam to play games if I don't need to, I'm sure there are plenty of people who agree.

Not really. The aversion to Steam is the purview of dinosaurs who still think that it is somehow bloat- or malware, which are hilariously delusional. Not even sure why you referenced steamcharts either, it doesn't have any relevance to your point.

But your main point is well-taken. We've been raging against MM for a while now and a broadly accepted proposal is to do away with MM and replace the opaque "stars"  system with the server's srd and its ping. This would allow people to find games that they are comfortable with and warn them away from higher servers without needing to use the herokuapp

I think a preference system would do.

Oh! you want to be here, but there are no servers here; What's your next best choice?

Why in the ever-loving fuzzy bunny do you need a second account.

See, the thing is, mine actually makes sense, because I referring to an object's possession. Just because the object and its possession share a word does not make the construction wrong. It would be equally right to say server's rank detailed, but that construction's aptitude does not make "a server's server rank detailed" wrong, or even really redundant. The first server could be replaced with The-Scrapyard with no breakdown of the construction.

Rest in peace in peace, however, is. Unless, of course, you were referring to the acronym "rest in pepperonis."

The server doesn't have a SRD (or Server Rank Detailed). The server has a rank that can be given in a detailed form.

There's no point in discussing a joke though. Let's leave it here.
