time interval between each vote can be 60 seconds or more

kicked person can't join kicked server for the end on game

if he will be kicked 2 or 3 time on this server after joining, he can't play it for 1h or more

You would think kickvote (among other things) would sound logical right? I thought it was a good idea and suggested kick vote options about a year ago, the response was dozens of posts informing me of my obvious mental deficiency and why I should never ever go near a computer again.

Considering I've reported two Reaper aimbot hacker tickets on Zendesk, sure would be nice to actually enjoy my evening gaming.

Seriously, this solves hackers. And if new players get riled up enough, fixes smurfing too.

Heck, forget an interface for now.

Just have it so typing "votekick" in the chat menu brings up a numbered list of all the players.
(To avoid names like ILILILILLIL111IL which are illegible with lowercase L)


Then type something like:

"votekick 5 Because he's aimbotting with a Reaper"

Then other players type "yes" or "no" to vote.

Should be able to do all this without a clientside patch. And about 20 minutes of programming time.

Low risk, high reward as I can see this matter. Worth trying for some weeks and see how it works out IMO.

EPA_Vincent have only right to think that what you doing to suggest this is only wrong. Don't try again to negate your acts with me please. It will be only shutting down. that's why programmers will have logs and punish VOTEKICKERS abusers

same as other abusers mentioned here down

 

it's small price for fast dealing with:

-cheaters/hackers

-racism/inappropriate words/player harassment

-bugusers (roof hoppers)

-AFK

-feeders

-etc...

 

let help programmers to deal with these bad players faster

The truth is that I'm not finding any relevant situation which may make me think in a new votekick feature in HAWKEN.

 

Some issues I may foresee about that:

 

1.- Intrusive chat messages during a matchbecause of it.

2.- Kicking new players because they are... new pilots. Thus without any coherent nor consistant reason for to be kicked out of a match.

3.- Kicking pilots because a group of friends want to be playing in a server with some other group. Unfair case as well, IMHO.

4.- Kicking a pilot because he or she is playing much better than the others during a match.. Unfair case too.

 

Those would be some few cons.

1.- Kicking a player that is cheating.

2.- Kicking a players that is having an very very ugly attitude in a match.

3.- Kicking a player who is just molesting his/her own team all time.

I too think this. Especially why i know that here we are all peoples with their own rights and +.

 

but who would give you the (right) to do this to a player that is like you, "kick one player" haven't much difference than say "ban a people from a game".

 

Hawken have need more of a heart too... not only hate why someone think that he is a cheater or a troll or all two.... :/

Someone think that is right kick for the grounds that a group of people feels that is right for others. Not always the things appear so obvious to your eyes.

It could be all, can be a defect in a connection or the fault of the game if a person is considered a cheater, or maybe why he use the brain!

 

Don't trasform Hawken in this. Each of us (people) have the right to play, is not why someone think that is a cheat or being just a troll the reason that these people have right  ... to kick a player! they can feel just hate to lose or be dominated, or have simply jealousy that someone is a kill leaders or N1.

 

It is for this reason that there is a community and devolpers. Don't decide to put the destiny in hands of some peoples that can wrong!. EPA showed to someone here that is just able to destroy a cheater with team work! Then is possible, because you don't need to a kick for leave so easy a problem that you find in game!

You make the difference in a game that instead would be dominated by people who think that the kick is a right and not a suggest for 1 or 2 players in game. I have a brain and i want use it for improve don't need to kick a problem!

For this there are private servers where you can experiment this. Just between who want more rules :). But you shouldn't apply a kick on servers free for all, be free to play as you want without any fear of a kick by anyone.

First of all, there have been very few votekick threads, and the previous one was deleted due to the back-and-forth bickering.

 

Second, in CS:GO the ping is readily displayed and the votekick works just fine. I've not seen a single complaint targeted at it in /r/globaloffensive.

 

Third, capitalizing and underscoring words doesn't reinforce your point. In fact, it has the opposite effect.

I guess she was the one who was fueling the first votekick thread.

Basically she asks for permision to use aimbot and ruin matches,

because in some weird way she is improving the game and teaching us all

how to treat people . Fun for her, unfun for the others.

 

She even suggested to be "separated" from the matches where people

from her "blacklist" play. Well, that would be most of EU population.

There's no reason to cater the game to known hackers/griefers, and lose your main playerbase as a result.

Why even engage in hypothetical rationalization on that subject?

Player retention is job #1 for these new Devs. And hackers and griefers kill off the playerbase.

Pretty simple.

With votekick implemented (60-70-80% of players' votes needed), these are the possible scenarios that come to mind mind:

 

A: Kicked player is a douchebag (cheater, griefer, is insulting others, etc.). Job well done.

B: Kicked player is too unskilled and makes imbalance. He needs to play on a server with lower MMR. Better for him/her and for the other 7-9-11 people. Job well done.

C: Kicked player is too skilled and makes imbalance. He needs to play on a server with higher MMR. Better for him/her and for the other 7-9-11 people. Job well done. But kicked player enjoys stomping? Then it is scenario A.  Kicked player can't find other matches because he is probably in the top 20 ? Well, that's an issue, yes.

D: 60-70-80% of the lobby are douchebags and kick players just for fun/whatever? This has low probability IMO. But probably it's better for kicked player not to play with them and go to another server.

 

To sum up I think that votekick could be more beneficial for the majority than harmful for some people. If someone gets kicked frequently, maybe it has a reason and he/she needs to think about his/her attitude. Regarding the issue of the Top 20 players, the majority has to understand that they can't find games and need to play somewhere. But that's where the concept of rookie-servers and unlocked high-MMR servers could come in and mitigate the risk of noobs votekicking pros (keep 'em separated!). Maybe it also would be good to disable votekicking against players who used the Queue if there are no empty servers in higher MMR range.

 

Currently when someone ruins the match many people leave during or after the game which has a similar effect from the viewpoint of the 'problematic' player, but the result is just worse for the others. They spread and late-join other games, thus creating imbalance.

 

Are there other possible scenarios that I forgot?
