Hey there returning West coast pilots! We still hit up the west coast servers a few times a week, come join us! You can usually find some of us hanging out on steam via the West Coast Syndicate, on the west coast sub-channel of Merl's Officially Unofficial Hawken Teamspeak (ts5.gameservers.com:9152).

 

Also, feel free to treat this as a west coast introductions thread! I wanna see some familiar faces!

But in all reality, I'll be switching over to EU servers soon. Probably. I think I'll miss less than 100 ping.

West Coast rarely has anyone in / on, and the ping on the servers for the west coast jumps randomly depending on the map :/. I live in the West Coast so it'd be nice to have that fixed <3

It would be so nice to have more people play West Coast again. It's annoying playing east coast where you have 120 ping and everyone else has 80 and lower. Ping does make a big difference.

I like playing west, but you guys always chase me out when I join, and even though I live in ca I can get the same pings on east as west. lately I've been seeing as low as 45 on east and though I used to get 5 on west I'm lucky to see < 60 nowadays

When I've come in, on several occasions I've been told, "phed leave", "phed go home", "phed stop killing everyone in the server"

It's disheartening.

It's true we don't play much DM, but considering we often have good players like bkcat and 7ucky playing, I'm surprised you got comments like that.

True, matches on west are always unique! We always seem to utilize parts of the map that aren't normally fought in!

Hi Westies!!! 

 

If you're looking for a game on west, I generally try to start one when I get home from work to blow off my road rage after my hour drive home... so, typically around 7pm M-F, not so consistently on the weekends.  We start a match with 4 and have close to a full server within one or two matches.  Heck, we even had TWO TDM servers going on a few different nights lately which is awesome!

 

West coast is not ded!  Come play with us!  (Cuz, you know, we're the best coast!)

 

Edit: I am apparently not allowed to use a word. (?)   So, "ded" it is, I guess!

So west was(is) pretty popping today as of the new server browsing thingamajig. When I checked Shadeness' App, at one point I saw over 60 players on the Oregon servers, resulting in 4 entirely full servers and matches in almost every game mode.

Wouldn't say it's an event per se, there are just a few of us that play on the Oregon (yeah the one that sounds like a crystal, ya aussie ;) fairly regularly. I'm guessing you probably have better ping there. As far as when? Well.... That's been weird since the server group re-alignment. You can probably find an OR server any time of day if you check Herokuapp. For us though, I don't know if we've been able to get the gang together since the realignment (read: cap'n, give us west coast private servers, pls).

Im sure I am like most west coast players, since I am used to playing only on east before the update. But have definitely noticed more west peeps being on lately and looking forward to seeing it grow.
