Hey Guys,

 

Last couple days I been telling a few my FEW friends,

 

I use Reshade Framework on my Hawken,

 

As much as i DO like the original Graphics, On Ultra things are indeed nice...

I wondered why in a  world that had been consumed by corporate consumption and the like,

things were so lush and pretty,

 

Adjust textures etc etc is a Job for devs and the like and I can presume they probably wont...

 

here is my alternative option for your consideration

Simple and easy to use, it works FLAWLESSLY with hawken provided you are smart about your computer's limits,

 

If you wish to use RESHADE godrays and lens flaring etc etc, you MAY have to turn down some options in the game menu :P

(common sense goes a long way here)

 

I currently use some HDR tweaks and a Tonemapper,

 

This is enough for me personally at the moment while playing the game on Ultra, there is no FPS drop for me, nothing unfair...

its all purely ascetic.

This is gorgeous, but, i barely get 40 fps with plastic hawken, i don't need to graphically waterboard my laptop. maybe someday.

well funny you say that man, its sweetFX etc, so basically you set yur graphics on hawken to low, and use reshade, you can then also use an enb boost.ini and it MAY actualy run better :P

You're saying it could also work with plastic hawken?

And I could change my own color tones? For me your edit feel a bit too blue and magenta.

Looks incredible, love how you made the prosk map look so bright and white and the predator vision overlay blue. How exactly do you change these things ?would love to know.

Been using sweetfx myself but reshade looks pretty nice, too.

Ok so basically...

 

Reshade Framework has a program called "mediator" that program then injects the reshade settings INTO hawken,

Firstly you need to point the mediator at the hawken exe in the binaries folder of you steam/common/blah blah :P,

THEN on the the pipeline tab, you can choose what effects to add etc etc,

 on this tab, for example you will see some of the effects have "sweetfx" some have "gemfx" etc etc...

 

once you have ticked the boxes for the effect you want, you then go to the corresponding tab.. and adjust the effect setting to suit your personal taste, click apply, go back to the main tab and click "force push to application"

 

there CAN be a little trail and error in tweaking your settings, alt tab works :P as long as you clicked apply THEN the push to app button.

Yes Bro you Could, using tone mapper and tweaking the sittings you could do this,

I wouldnt have all the spare time to tweak this fuzzy bunny if you guys were actually ever on to play :P -puts the shovel away-

 

 

P.s Hawken is dx9 so using dx above that for reshade is kinda pointless :P

oh yeah DUH!!... you once you have done the mediator thing, just drop that folder into the binaries/win32/ folder, if you ran reshade there should already be a folder there, you just overwrite those files with these ones &^^
