I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death already, but I still hear complaining every now and then in chat.
I personally don't have a problem with people using orbs/extractors, but maybe it can be worked a little better.
- The idea-
No mech automatically drops a repair orb.
Mechs WITH repair orb internal now drop a repair orb on death (if it hasn't been used).
- The effects-
Battles will be more intense. You'll be on your tows (pun) more often when you know you can't rely on orbs for repair. Maybe this will help out the tech class to get more usage.
Equipping a repair orb potentially helps the opposing team, therefore might be frowned upon by your team since dying really won't help your team, even if they get a small orb from it...
Someone with a nice k/d ratio can most likely get the best usage out of it which sounds counterintuitive at first, BUT at the same time they'll see less orbs to leech from.
Any thoughts ?
