A new player finishes his ___ matches of TDM, and tries out the new game mode he unlocked, Missile Assault. Oh look, there aren't any servers. Either it says "Sorry I can't do that Dave" or dumps you in an empty server. I forget if the server browser is unlocked for new players, but the new player will think "oh, no ones playing this game anymore", *uninstall* or goes back to TDM.

MA and SG are dead game modes. Try cycling those maps in with the TDM servers (just one MA map per TDM cycle) and you'll have at least one out of 6-8 TDM servers playing a game mode people want to play, but don't want to wait to populate.

This is actually worth considering.

Although you'd have to inform people about that somehow, possibly by changing the game mode matchmaker altogether, also the UI.

Create a "Random" playlist where the game mode keeps changing every match.
