Hello, I was wondering if anyone knows useful Launch Options for Hawken. (By that I mean the Properties you can access on Steam) Some I know would be like -novid -noborder -password/email

only one i know is   C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Hawken\Binaries\Win32\HawkenGame-Win32-Shipping.exe 

and link it to a desktop icon, or in your taskbar.  that'll load the game in seconds, without the Steam luggage garbaging thing\s up.

Some people have a way to load them past all of the videos, etc too.

I think they change flags in ini files.

^ I used to do that too, but then the game audio broke after one or two matches- it was a bug caused by by-passing the intro videos and titles. No idea if that got fixed, it dated back to Adhesive days so I guess not...

browse to the games/32 folder, target the games GENUINE exe, set you compat or blah blah there and run the game with admin..

 

on point EM10.

 

a shortcut to the program directly GREATLY improves things IMO!!

this isnt about startup arguments this contains instead many commands for the actual hawken console, like connecting to specific servers by hotkey etc...

yeah but very wonky im not finished getting it to work right for me, most of the time it seems to be wanting more parameters or something but as i tested adding them (stripped from logfiles) i did get into the server once or twice

everyone says that using the inis to remove the videos often causes the audio bug (glitch out and then silence) so best to remove the videos manualy from the documents

Uh I mean when you go to your steam library, right click a game and select Properties, then go to launch options.

all i use in that is -login="emailhere" -password="passhere"

but if you do then you must keep your log files secret because it contains the user and pass in each one at the beginning of the logs
