Back when the game was super popular me and my friends loved it, but as time went on the game died off. Maybe we can relaunch the game, me and my friends would love it but not when the game is dead.

The game is not dead. Just launch it.

They will do a "relaunch" of the game when the build is ready.  There are a bunch of big show-stoppers to work out first.  Better to "relaunch" a game that is in good shape and provides a positive user experience than to do so and have everyone's initial impression be poor.

To be serious for a moment this is just a joke

It sort of did back in 2013, when they launched Ascension update.
It did again when Steam launch happens.

Trailer on E3 2016 can also considered as relaunch. The last E3 trailer was launched 6 years ago. And still looked 10 times better.

To people who is not consistent playing/checking on the game, those can be seen as launch and relaunches to them.

E3 2017, my intel says they tried to show something again, GOT REJECTED.

Chances GONE.

Unless they can afford MONEY to build a remake version--and looks even better than 2010 trailer.

Or continue as a walking dead, as it is now.
