CURRENT STAGE: MOVING PARTS OF THE WIKIA AS A FOUNDATION.
Illal:
Spoiler
Illal is the setting of Hawken. Boasting sizeable quantities of valuable natural resources, Illal was colonized by many looking for a fresh, new beginning. Thousands of colonists were lured by corporations to build a better life, and in the beginning this proved to be true. There were three corporations that rose above the others: Prosk, Sentium, and Crion.

Prosk:
Sentium:
Crion:
Spoiler
Crion is one of the three main multi-planetary corporations on Illal. After extended and dangerous competition against the other corporations, Crion experienced a sudden collapse which unleashed a nano-virus across the planet, which became known as the Hawken Virus or Giga-Structure.
HAWKEN VIRUS AND INCIDENT:
---------
Giga-Structure:
Spoiler
The Giga-Structure is the name given to the self-replicating nano-virus on Hawken. It is also known as the Hawken Virus. Taking the appearance of metallic patches on Hawken's maps, the Giga-Structure covers more than a third of the planet's surface. Parts of the Giga-Structure may be found in any in-game map, especially Origin and Uptown. Although it is not harmful to mechs, the Giga-Structure has been shown to encase buildings and block highways.
MECHS/AXES:
---------
Beserker:
Spoiler
The SkullDogs, veteran units of Prosk's light-armored division, exclusively use the Prosk L3 Piston model to outfit their Berserker mechs. They are often spotted looting the remains of fragged Sentium light and even heavy mechs. The designer derived the core concept of this model from insects of his home world. "I am not a god, I can only hope to mimic their creation." -Prof. Arnoff.
Infiltrator:
Spoiler
The Infiltrator L5 Boot model was the first prototype light mech ever created. Equipped with clusters of oxygen tanks and a hermetically sealed shell, it was able to withstand the extreme conditions of Illal better than its predecessors. Early versions were crafted from organic materials, but each layer of development brought new modifications and such outdated systems were quickly replaced. In many ways this first creation was prophetic of the battlefield to come. Modern parts were swapped out, rebuilt, swapped out, and rebuilt again. The product seen today is build to survive the worst climates the universe has to offer, and heralds death.
Reaper:
Spoiler
The L2 Spree is common among Reapers not only for its rogue-like style, but also for its surprising flexibility. Mobile, yet offering tremendous stability, it is ideal for assignments that require venturing alone outside friendly territory. When challenged by the ever-changing battlefield, Spree pilots are known to overcome, endure, and excel. Even when swathed in dirt and dust it is highly functional, so some pilots claim that cleaning their Spree would wipe away years of hard-earned natural camouflage. But we all know that's just an excuse. "Clean? Whaddaya mean? This baby IS clean!" -Deadeye Bill Buser.
Scout:
Spoiler
Knowing that Scouts rarely returned from reconnaissance missions, the L2 Moke model was initially designed specifically for these mechs. The composition utilized salvaged shuttle wreckage scavenged from the scrapyard. The design was eventually updated to a more streamlined version, but the iconic cylindrical fuel-canister cockpit was preserved, and is often outfitted as a tribute to the brave Scout pilots who gave their lives during the course of battle.
