Some killer art work in this book. Haven't had a chance to finish reading through the whole thing yet, but it's worth it alone if you're a fan of Hawkens art direction.

There is a single copy of this book in my local comic shop that hasn't been sold. It's been there since the release of the book.

 

Kind of sad just seeing it sit there.

But it does really show you how they really expected it to become a massive thing, don't count your pterodactyls before they hatch I suppose.

Oooh. Read it and read it quick, then read it again, then get the five MELEE comics and oh, oh, oh, there is one of the original Genisis free tasters that didn't make it into the graphic novel. #3 I think... Read 'em all and love HAWKEN :D

WOh, had no idea about the melee comics. Just finished Hawken:Gensis last week. It was amazing to say the least.

Just got my copy shipped in. I'm going to assume all these messy splotches on the front and back covers are intentional design things. I do have to say though, this thing was larger than I expected. It's like a foot long.

 

Anyways, will start reading ASAP.

Anyways, yeah, I confirmed they're just parts of the design.

 

 

If you look at the white things going through the main image that looks like an 'E' you can see lots of noise/grit.
