Ok, so I had an interesting idea. I have a mumble server and was thinking about just having a smaller event with myself and my guild to talk about the different changes as well as suggestions and to why they would or wouldn't work. Then the idea came to invite other prevalent players such as AsianJoyKiller, BuDeKai, Beefcakes, etc that are also on the forums to also be in on it.

Past that, I also thought it'd be cool to have a dev or two in there. The idea is kind of simple, just effectively a Q&A Session with devs to see what's happening, and to squash some of the concerns players like myself are having. I really don't know how well this would work with say 10-20 people in the same voice chat talking about things, but I think it'd be good to have the community talk in an open forum about this kind of stuff.

Mainly I'd like the devs there. I don't know if any devs would be willing to do this say once this weekend and the weekend after to kind of see where things are going, and what changes are planned to be made.

Anyway, I'm rambling on the topic, but what do you guys think_ I'd be willing to stream it on my own channel, and use my own mumble server, so the resources are there. Any devs willing to do this_

"Prevalent players".

I'd listen, but not via Mumble. If you could make a recording available that would be rad.

Yeah, you wouldn't be in mumble, you'd be listening/watching on my stream (which gets automatically recorded). The people involved in the conversation would be in the mumble server, because, skype is total fuzzy bunny when you get more then 2-3 people in it and my mumble server has proven to work fine with at least 12 people on at the same time.

My mumble is pretty darn clear. I upped the bandwidth allowed, so as long as the people that are in the conversation up the quality on their end, it sounds great.

As would I, but I don't see any volunteers for it so far from the devs.

I've been wanting to do livesteams of this game myself, but I can't make the Livestream Procaster cooperate.

Going to keep this on the front page because I like this idea. Anyone from adhesive or meteor want to let us know the viability of this_

Or the devs could just host a video stream where they take questions from the chat, couldn't they_

Note that I'm not criticizing any ideas here that are about players getting together to talk about changes. I'm all for that.

One of us or even adhesive/meteor could host a hawken 'state of the game' like the sc2 SotG. Mumble, skype or any number of programs could be used. SotG has been very popular too.

for reference, a random SotG episode off of youtube. This is streamed live on Twitch.tv:
