I got my key and redeemed it, then downloaded the installer.

I ran the installer which installed without a hitch, but then at the finish mark, when it launches the game i get the above error, Rebooting, redownloading, reinstalling don't make it work and I can't find anyone else having the problem.

How do I fix it_

Dialog title : Host
Dialog text : Certificate authentication failed, please re-install to correct the problem

Edit : Running on Win7Ultimate64. Q9550/GTX470 and 4Gb.

I had the same problem.
Windows XP home SP2 on a Mac intel chip.
Click on "Start"
Then "Windows Update"
Update everything. Be sure to find and update "Root Certificate Updates."
Uninstall Hawken
Re-Install

Thanks - Windows isn't showing any updates - I'll have a poke around in the certificates area see what I can find.
