Oh and by the way don't leave out the 'Horde' mode
its like standard to have zombies flood out

I completly agree with not revealing everything before release!
As Chris stated, companies with waaaay more resources could use any ideas presented for their own games and then release before Hawken becomes available making it appear that Hawken has nothing new to give us!

Plus, I wanna be surprised when I first play the game and not just play stuff that I've already seen!  
I (and UoF) have treated map making in UT3 with the same attitude.  Only glimpses are publicly given until release date so players can experience something new!  Most modding groups work the same as well...and I expect Adhesive to do the same :!:

What_ The graphics may be neat, but the game looks and feels like it could handle itself on consoles fine. Only reason it couldn't is because;
1) They have a fuck-ton of controls, like ArmA 2.
2) They have horrible optimization which makes the game lag even on decent gaming PCs.
3) As an Indie Company they have to resort to being their own publisher (Which apparently they have a decent amount of publisher interest towards the game.)
4) They include over 6gb of data, which would be weird for a game that will probably be under 800MB.

Doesn't it run off the UDK engine_ Should be compatible on most current-gen consoles.

You seem to be the ignorant side of PC gaming. As I said, this game isn't graphically amazing nor does it look like it would be difficult to run on low end PCs (Hell, my old 8600GT could probably run it perfectly fine at 1280x720 with 30fps with the settings shown in the screenshots.) The game is trying to target equal balance on all platforms, especially for digital release through consoles.
You on the other hand seem to think a game like this would be over the top for either the Xbox 360 or PS3, which it isn't. You compared the Unreal Engine to a completely different engine. Just like I said, I won't be surprised if this game releases at less than 800MB.
Don't make this game sound like it's filled with a big budget staff team from a group of developers (Otherwise, check out: Hard Reset! A PC exclusive), its filled with a small team where only one member is being paid. Either way I look forward to this game, not for it's graphics but towards the gameplay and style they take.

No, I'm saying they didn't use anything from the Unreal game. They used textures and other features that already came with the Unreal Engine. Prime example of another indie game, Sanctum. Sanctum is 700MB and uses custom made models and textures, along relatively detailed scenic maps.

Only good side to a PC-only release is that it could and should give free DLC along with constant updates (Such as patches, bug fixes, news and important information) without Sony/Microsoft/Publisher setting guidelines. Hardware wise, consoles could handle this game fine; Business wise, they could more or less end up like Kaos studios and their latest game, Homefront.
Honestly (With of course, my opinion), you're safer releasing on the PC first and launching on the consoles when you're more known. If all goes well, they could even end up being their own Publisher/Developer for all platforms.

Who came with the wishful thinking_ You. Sorry but the consoles can't handle this game as it is. 30 frames for an online game sucks. The difference of frame rate between 60 and 30 is significant. Leave that denial outside of this conversation.
