I don't plug 360 or PS3 controller on my PC. I stick to a logitech. I don't like to downgrade my experience with inferior peripherals.

Besides, technology progresses, that means the following, while consoles are dinosaurs of the past, the current times will absorb them into mere platforms application or programs where you can purchase and download. These plug and play devices will end like the coin up machines. The sooner, the better. PC should capitalize and generalize the console market.

I'm not here to argue for or against anything along those lines. I'm an advocate for videogames. Pure and simple. I go where I have fun, because this is after all, an entertainment industry. If there are games I'm having fun with on the PC I'll play them. If there are games I'm having fun with on the console, I'll play them. I'm a pretty simple guy. I'm mostly a PC gamer, but I like to play all videogames.

This. I've had a number of logitech controllers break.

Those corded 360 controllers are on par with the old N64 ones in terms of durability. They're built to last and that's why I use them. I don't own a 360.

They're certainly the most durable controllers I've ever encountered. If the D-Pad weren't crap on them, they'd be damn near the perfect controller. I actually have both a logitech and a 360 controller. Picked up the logitech from Goodwill for like three bucks. I use it for emulators and games where the 360 doesn't work (I'm having a driver issue I can't fix which causes the controller not to be recognized, even by a keymapper), and I use my 360 controller for everything else.
