Thats what it is all about in my opinion. I am more comfortable with a controller, thats why i started the thread. If i was great with a keyboard and mouse, i would still want those who prefer a controller to have the option, and that should apply to EVERY game out there.

Speaking support, anyone heard anything about 3D support_ I'd love to play this game in 3D, but i doubt it will see support with such a small dev team.
EDIT: i just realized they need to render the world in stereoscopic 3D to support the occulus rift. So I can only assume stereoscopic 3D will work lol.
I would most definately use a controller if the turn rate of the mechs was limited. If the turn rate is not limited and aim is free, i will avoid gamepads and joysticks. anyone have more information on this_

I wrote my opinion without ranting on other opinion, son. Read again.
Besides you and your kind are invited to use the ignore list. Give it a try.
^^.
This game should stay on the PC tradition of Keyboard and mouse. Some peripherals are welcome too. However I don't want to ruin the experience with a PS3/360 crap pad.

I don't quite get how people using game pads ruins your experience, but i know a lot of people would have their experience enhanced for themselves.

Keyboard and mouse is way better for these type of games. The mouse is more precise and natural than those crappy analog sticks.

In testing the only thing that a keyboard and mouse allowed better than an analog stick, was 180 and 360 degree turns. Otherwise they perform at almost identical levels. On top of that, I know a Halo player who kicks fuzzy bunny on PC games with a controller, but fails with a keyboard and mouse. It's ONLY about personal preference."
You obviously have no clue about PC gaming, and how it works.
Keyboard and mouse is more precise and responsive. You have more buttons and you can switch to joysticks for PC. The options for old controllers seems to be a sweet invitation to these console peasants and their peasantry. I don't have any problem with that. However mouse and keyboard is way superior in responsive times, combinations and practicality. Aiming and sensitivity is not the same with an analog stick. It will never be the same.
It's not a fair match between someone with analog sticks and someone with keyboard and mouse. The disadvantage is too much. The keyboard/mouse is way superior...

Every since I seen this back in the day I dreamed of using an expencive joystick for a mech game.
Dude Steel Battalion is hard AF. I kind of want to cut the cable and make it USB, but idk if I can just destroy a piece of history like that.
