So.. I've played many MMOs and FPSs but no Mech games before.. i'm kind of excited but I have no idea what I'll be doing.. is there a clan out there to take me under their wing_

Maybe one that's not so cocky and judgmental.. Hearing 'why aren't you in the kitchen' is kinda getting old and also never was funny.

Also, I dont know why a clan wouldnt accept a girl, we are all gamers afterall, theres no gender in that.

Well that's complete bull. I don't see a reason why people should be judgmental about girl gamers. I bet that you will be at least two times better than any person who told you to go back in the kitchen.

The topic is silly, if anyone is truly sexist, there's no reason to be around them. Generally the kitchen joke is made sarcastically anyway, I don't often run into TRUE sexism/racism, only people who ridicule it.

The clans that ridicule it are the eSports/CAL rated clans, but personally, I think they are all too cocky for their own good. A public clan on the other hand, will have a different type of mentality all together.

I'm a female gamer, have been for many years. Never had a single issue with gender disparity from other gamers. To my experience, the only thing fellow gamers care about is your aptitude in the game, not what body parts you have.

I haven't never faced anything like that either. Maybe this girl has had some bad luck with company.

For my part, though, I almost never announce in my introductions/first conversations "I'm a girl." All I do is get into the game, and if the question ever comes up directly, then I'll reply.

Anyway girl. Don't make such a big deal about the gender. You should have browsed the forums to see that these people here are SUPER NICE and I don't think anyone would really turn you down.

Still you should think about joining into FUZZY BUNNIES! Would be epic to have some more of us girls there. ^^

Hah, I guess there's a ton in CSS and other FPS games then.  I tend to stick to a small group of people because of it most times.

Guess it all depends on the type of game you play.

No problem, I guarantee that you will find a place to fit in in almost any game, it's all about who you are. There's a group for everyone.
