Found it on steam while remenecing about Mech warrior and mechassault xD

I plan to become a game programmer/designer when I grow older, so I looked up some game engines and ran into the Unreal Engine 3. The Unreal Engine also had UDK, which was a free game making thingy and on the UDK section they advertised Hawken. Because I wanted to see what the UDK was capable of, I downloaded Hawken.
Needless to say I was impressed.

I saw it in an ad in the back of the guide book at PAX Prime in Seattle in 2012. I went and checked it out. It was awesome, they even gave me a Hawken t-shirt for playing

I first noticed this game on a small Joystiq article even before the first gameplay trailers were released. Signed up, and got into Alpha and Beta, I'm still here playing.

i saw a first trailer ages ago..it wasn´t out then...a brief video filmed on prosk. it was insta love...month later i checked again (the name somehow hung) and to my yeehaaw, it was free to play.

In a Game Production class and looked up "How to make a First Person Mech View". I haven't played the game yet, but I would love to know how they displayed the Mech HUD over the camra, and if they made a Vehicle class or a Player class to make their Pawns.

Anyone know anything about making Vehicle classes in UDK_
We are still trying to make a Mech for our Production Class game.

I'd discovered the Hawken on a spanish games page called: www.3DJuegos.com . They'd said that was a good FTP game, and were right.

I discovered Hawken around the same time that I heard about MechWarrior: Online.  They were both showing off early footage around the same time.  I got into the closed alpha on Hawken and into the closed beta on MW:O, and I was enjoying both.  Then MW:O basically went and died.  Now, all my hopes and dreams of giant stompy robot combat rest on Hawken.
