So much better as a grenadier - It's great for gauging the range of your shots.

These are the settings I'm currently on
Quote
r_origin_y 268
r_size_x 250
r_size_y 250
r_stick_x left
r_stick_y bottom
refresh_rate 1
show_capture true
t_align_x left
t_align_y top
t_color FFFFFF
t_font_family
t_font_size 20
t_font_style normal
t_font_weight bold
t_shadow true
This is what it looks like atm.

I did found a quick fix for this though. I have to press set appearance, and not close it while Hawken is running and I drag the crosshair down a bit, check if its ok. When it fits, I close the set appearance and it sets in that position for the duration I'm on Hawken. Rather lame if you ask me though. Thanks for your help and Crosshairs.

This overlay makes a massive difference in visibility for me. I couldn't see the stock reticle at all, and needed some kind of visual reference to center my fire. This work great! It's unobtrusive, and allows me to find my aim, which was practically impossible with the low-contrast stock reticle.
I don't see this as a cheat or hack, as it is only providing the visibility that should be there in a functional UI/HUD. I'll look forward to the dev's implementation of colorizing crosshairs, but have seen such quality crosshair work in other games, that I agree this should be an allowed area for ongoing community contribution, and not strictly for in-game monetization. It's great to have several people contributing different styles/colors, since a reticle is a highly personal "taste", and will only increase the enjoyment of the game, especially for those of us who have been squinting at a monitor for 20+ years.
Thanks again all! Really enjoying the game, and now maybe I can hit that barn.

Why use Mumble_ It's no fun having to bend over backwards just to do a custom job on your UI.

Bit late, mate

Anyway this whole thread is now semi-irrelevant due to it being supported in game. Without it however, that might not have happened so a HUGE thankyou to all the posters and support this thread got. I was always too lazy to run another program every time I felt like playing a couple of games but had huge issues seeing the default crosshairs.
The new customisable system is infinitely better, thankyou.
