I'm relatively new to the game (36 hours or so played now). Really love this game. This is my first competitive FPS since probably Quake 3 (I'm old, and hate CS/Battlefield/COD, which is probably because of the bad eyesight and slow reflexes). I've played some MMOs and A LOT of single player games in between. I do well enough in a game like this that's a little slower paced. But, from watching Xacius and the like, I can tell I'll probably get wrecked at high level play.

I'm still unlocking mechs, but I do best with the zerker and raider, though I want to master sharpshooter, since I always was fond of sniping (and absolutely never good at it). I'm awful with the infiltrator. Looking forward to scout, vanguard, assault.

My education is in philosophy (a focus on mereology and philosophy of religion) and my job until graduate school (I'm a non-traditional student!) is making custom knives.

All around, I'm pretty strange...

Cool on ya for the custom knife making!  My younger son is learning forging to be able to make custom knives.  He's made some knives by stock removal that came out quite nice.  I haven't done metalwork, but I've made some carved & hand-stiched leather sheaths for several of his creations.  Do you have a website showing your work_
