the shield is my must-have items on all my mechs... a lot of people disregard it because it doesn't explode or disable anything... but its a WMD if used correctly

I actually kinda disagree on that. Ever since I've started using the evasive device on my mechs, I've been able to get out of a lot more precarious situations than before. Hell, even my brawler has the capability to escape danger.

Or you can be a lucky fuzzy bunny like me who throws down the shield right in front of weakened opponents that are about to fire their TOW when they see you approaching. The TOW explodes in their face and they die, supposedly from Pilot Error. But since I already dealt damage to them beforehand, I get the kill. Ouch!

Just FIRE!(And hope for the best!)
