Basic reporting of offending posts and threads are everyone's responsibility when using a forum. And since I've gained some moderation powers there aren't many (or even any at all) who report spam when it starts happening.
For example I just checked and there was a spam account that created 38 threads and another which had created 18 yet only one person had reported both accounts.
It's good that some of you have been reporting stuff but asking for a badge or something like that is like asking for a reward because you called 9-1-1 when you saw someone doing something wrong or when someone gets hurt. Sure you did the right thing but that also goes along with being a decent human being. At least in my opinion, the developers might feel differently.
For people like myself and the other spam warriors we've been contributing for a long time now in various ways and still don't have any special badges or anything like that which distinctively recognizes us for this. It's a matter of contributing to something we enjoy and want to see succeed, not the reward.
Keep up the good work though, it is definitely appreciated and makes my job a little easier when it comes to catching this kind of thing.
