just because he bought better equip does not mean he will win automatically, everything you can get through buying cash you can get through playing the game, this means its equal ground, this game is still amazing to play and fun weather you win or loose (unless your a bad sport)

paying for cosmetics im okay with, keep making cool ones and i will buy them, like i kept buying dyes in gw2, but renting weapons just makes this look like one of those POS asian f2p games

Elix, it's a meta joke. I personally disagree entirely with this direction, but I do not have time for people who spout on about "P2W GEAM RUINED!". This isn't a deal breaker, it's leaves a bad taste in my mouth but I still can understand them wanting to have the option in their own game.

Assuming the weapons within Hawken are balanced, what you're referring to is a pay-to-progress model, not a pay-to-win one.

Simon Ludgate wrote a three part feature on why pay-to-progress models aren't a huge deal.

I actually was specifically, explicitly replying to mydoom (that's why I quoted him), who is not only coming off as completely serious but arguing against things that don't exist. I stand by my original comments.
