That's great!  The event starts in about twelve hours, you still have time.

What should I set for the default channel for the taw server if I join_  Your ts is huge and complicated and I'm too lazy to scroll down a list, so help would be appreciated.

You have plenty of time! It's not exclusive. When I get off work I'll message everyone who seemed interested, get the password out and stuff.

I think we're going with our traditional practice rules which are slightly more lax than TPG. We allow 2 of the same mech per team, and I believe radar is frowned upon. Of course, this being public, if you guys want different stuff we're happy to oblige.

If you're not already a member, you don't have the ability to move channels. You'll be put in the main lobby and I or someone else will move you to the appropriate channel.

On the other hand, if you can switch channels, head to the scrapyard. That's under VII Corps. You'll see the Hawken division, might be under HAWK, and scrapyard's at the bottom of that.

Thanks guys, this will be a weekly event so long as we have people in TAW to make it so. I was pretty overwhelmed by the turnout (over 30 people at one point, for those not there) and though there were definitely some rough patches getting the second games in (parties were breaking up) I'm glad you guys had fun.

Please feel free to send me any ideas or suggestions on how to improve the event. Hope you all show up next week!

Thanks for running man, you and TAW. The only suggestion I have would be to have more rooms set up ready for people to be sorted into. Not really sure how difficult that is to do these days, it's been like 6 years since I messed around with TS.

Everything else that went wrong was Hawken's problem.

It's pretty simple, but honestly I was just overwhelmed by how many people showed up. I had never been at a Hawken event where almost 90% of the people I had invited had turned up, so when we had everyone together, myself and clinch (he was running the balancing program, which worked very well for the games that we ran through them, so props to Clinchicus), got a little slowed down.

But of course, we really, really appreciate everyone showing up and sticking around for so long.

Yeah the games were damn well balanced. I was fortunate to be on the winning side, but considering they were all MA that ended at like 0-80 or 0-100 I wouldn't have been pissed none to be losing.
