just wasted* 5min of my life by trying to get what looks like a mechwarrior clone to work

- download the game
- start the game
- getting asked to create an account, and do so
- receive an authentication eamail and press the link  - receive " your account has successfully bla bla notice"
- try to login and get told to authenticate your account to login.... awesome game, thumbs up

awesome groundwork thumbs up

and yes, my password and login name work on the homepage... so i'm sure they are correct.

Did you quit the game and restart it after you clicked the validation link_

Couldn't be further from MWO my friend. Try what nokari suggests and if you don't have any joy file a support ticket. I assure you it is well worth persevering. Then again, if you are looking for an MWO clone you are definitely in the wrong place_!

You have to login with your email address and password. It doesn't work if you try to login with your username and password.

It was something like "error 51C5xxxx" (as far as I recall) but for me the ship has sailed anyway.

If something that trivial as an "email verification - login - combination" doesn't work properly, the game isn't worth my time.

And if some guys feel offended by the Mechwarrior comparison I made, I'm sorry, that wasn't my intention...

But if I watch the introduction video on steam, and see two "mechs" running towards each other that look quite "mechwarriorish", shooting at each other with quite "mechish" guns, jumping with something that looks quite "jumpjetish" ... it's kind of the impression I get.

Call me narrow minded if you like, but two mechs shooting the fuzzy bunny out of each other, in best mechwarrior style the comparison isn't that far fetched.

At least the community seems to work well here, even if the game doesn't . Have fun gys, maybe we'll meet in a proper working game some time.

I don't know, but the game always looked kinda Wolfenstein 3D-ish to me.
