The speculation is that it is difficult because of the service migration that is underway.  From what I can tell it looks like the East Coast is completed (looking at the server names).  But I guess their are other regions that are not completed yet.  At least one does not have any servers listed.  I don't look at all the regions, so I don't know what is going on with the server migration.  From the last couple of updates, we know they are working on backend stuff.  Sounded as if it was a big lift.  But since they just gave us general information, we don't know what that really entails.  Rumor has it that a lot of stuff is being rewritten on the backend.  It is what is at the moment.

As far as I am concerned the migration was over at the beginning of June when METEOR closed in Seattle.

With all due respect; the contrast make them appear incompetent and disorganised. The 2 items are in direct contravention of one another.

Does anyone have an explaination as to why there is an official statement of closure yet the site for the closed office remains alive and well_

Again, someone appears to have dropped the ball and refuses to play...

When are the net mechs coming for test drive__ This has been a long wait! I don't like the current mechs which are up for test-drive currently and the only life I could feel from the Dev's seem to have gone. Its like as if they've gone or something. I feel that the only thing they are doing now is maintaining the servers.
