It wasn't the actual gameplay but a project they wanted to make on some specific maps.

You can't remove something that wasn't there in the first place.

I like you because you can argue like a boss ... but I hate you because you can argue like a boss ... this is not only based on my post you quoted ... but in general.

+1 for AJK

Destructible environments were never added to the game. They've only done internal testing and released some videos of early tests. Afaik, the hold up has mostly been Nvidia, but it could just be their coding structure wasn't setup well enough to handle the integration from Nvidia. If so, then the work they're doing now should fix those problems and eventually we'll see destructible maps. But until one or the other gets finished, we're not going to get it.

Thanks for explaining.  That answers that then,   Would of been nice to have I think.  Gaming is moving into a time when maps can be dynamic, but progress is far too slow in my opinion.

Heavy Gear Assault looks like its worth watching.  This does promise destructible environments and mechs. and using UE4 engine.

http://heavygear.com/

"Heavy Gear Assault is the first next-generation mech game in development for Windows, Mac and Linux platforms. Featuring fully destructible environments and Gears, episodic singleplayer story missions, robust multiplayer e-sports integration and dynamic gun-and-melee combat that puts players in control of their pilot, Heavy Gear Assault pushes the boundaries of mech games as only Unreal Engine 4 makes possible."
