Status: Unable to download manifest.
I get this error, uninstall/reinstall does nothing. In fact now I can't even download the game, after initial install. Anyone else get this_

It means the CLOSED BETA IS OFFLINE.
CB2 does not begin for another 18 hours.....

Oh ok. I assumed that but I just got an email from the Hawken team that basically said "Why haven't you been playing, play now" but I'd had that error for a while so was very confused.

I read the email more thoroughly after getting error codes and searching the forums for a solution and find that beta doesn't start till tomorrow.

That may be, but we should be able to download/install it now, otherwise it's going to be a bit of a server hit when the CB2 starts (with everyone trying to download it at once)

Enabling it now would just trigger a flood of posts asking why there are no servers up.

The test does not start for five hours. You will get that error message until it starts.
