If it's beta, the points are just silly lol points that shouldn't matter since they are going to wipe it all.

It would only benefit US and THE DEV TEAM by giving everyone a 1030 new MP each day of the beta. Whether we spend that on a new mech or new parts is up to us.

That would keep everyone happy, and the spending fair... also gives everyone a chance at competing with the CBE1 lvl 20s.

I'm glad to hear us CBE1 testers are getting MP boost soon, but that still doesn't reflect on the progression rate of HP still being too slow. Unless everyone just plans on dishing out cash instead and stock up on MP..

They just doubled HP progression. Give it a few days for them to assess the impact on the game before asking for it to be changed again. Remember, as evil as it might sound, there is a reason why you can buy Meteor Points. I'm not suggesting that the devs are going to ration out HP like blood from a stone, but there is an incentive to not make it too easy to get Hawken Points.

I'd like to see it increased, don't get me wrong. But, it's tricky to find a balance that makes the community happy while not wrecking the game's progression.

I agree with you Elix. I was just stating the way I feel eventhough I'm not really effected by the progression speed atm. I only play SS so it's already lvl20 and have everything I need so I have no use for extra HP atm.
Just when HAWKEN finally goes live well all have to wait and see what happens. People are pretty impatient due to a limited amount of playtime for CBE2 and aren't thinking about the long run post open beta. Don't get me wrong i also plan on investing in MP when the time is right, but I just don't want to see the Pay2Win model start to surface already in a great game like HAWKEN.

I was playing and streaming for 4 hours today, mostly using itemless level 1 mechs that I'd purchased with the last of my MP at the end of the previous beta. They were largely getting pwned by the likes of NIGHTRAV3N's level 20 Sharpshooter... a passable approximation of the new player experience, I guess. During that time, I earned about enough HP to buy a single item. So... playing 4 hours every night of the 5 day beta would get me a full kit on a single mech.

That feels slow to me, but I agree that it's a bit early to judge.

Personally, I'll be quite happy to receive a small MP infusion so my matches can be more about differences in skill than lack of items and upgrades.

Zeshi and I were going off for a few matches tonight so idk if you got caught up In the storm.

If it's a team game, usually the only time I do "bad" (and I usually still manage roughly a 1:1 in those cases) is when my team is decidedly outmatched. In those cases, I deal out the best I can with little support - which is about 1:1.

Only so much I can do in 2v1s and 3v1s, though.

Yes I know this takes up half a page, but it had to be said again!

If I may add the reason I want more meteor points is I cannot even buy 2x XP and hawken point upgrades atm - these are the only things that  can ONLY be bought with meteor points. I can handle grinding, but being able to get 2x boosters along the way would be good too.
