As there's already lot things to fix and balance (wich is normal since we are in Beta) this kind of gameplay experience will not be published in the short terms.

At his today stage the game is very limited, and get boring really fast for some players, (that's why i'm passing almost more time stalking on the forum than in-game lol) this kind of things could help fight that,
as will do additionnal maps, game-types, ...

Divesified gameplay =  Less repetitive = Long term Fun

For now Hawken is easy to take in hands, wich is good, good as any good demo, Quick Big Fun.
But at the end i'm still starving for more, (wich is the goal of a good demo).

This suggestion is a concept (that others has, and the devs has too maybe)
of what that "More" could be.

Still I love everything about this game,
i play it with my co-workers during lunchtime.
Tt's amazing and perfect for that at this time (exept the lack of friend/team lobby). :lol:

I could see this ONLY if I was in the hanger and I want to look or get a different perspective of all my machines. Otherwise I don't think its needed or important.

Would be funny seeing a idle 'shut down' mech and stepping on some guy...
But I'd like to get out and admire my robots.

It would be fun just to stomp around and squish them humans, especially if there was a slight scream and a great squish sound.

Hello,

   I'm one of the founders of Adhesive Games, working on Hawken.  Thanks for your interest in our project!  We appreciate your feedback, and are happy with the positive response we've received for our trailer.

  As you noticed in the concept art, our original plan was to include pilots that could exit/enter the mechs.  Currently we haven't implemented this feature due to the small amount of manpower and development time we have.  We will try very hard to include this before the release, but at the moment our focus is on making the FPS Mech gameplay completely solid and enjoyable.

I really do hope that we are able to include your suggestions in the near future, we'll try our best so stay tuned for more updates and videos!

i think it would be cool if you could be outside, bt i think you should just be able to like spectate the enemy or have bases that enemys cannot enter say with certain doors or something, and you could hop in and out in your base and like show your mech off a bit and/or mid-game customize it

maybe if you mech gets blown up, you have to race back to your base to get a new one, and if you get killed you lose the xp

Not exactly ideal for those who have bad luck...

I do, however, feel that the pilots should be able to fight on against other evicted pilots with handguns.
We have no real confirmation on the actual space the pilot has in their cockpit, so why wouldn't the pilots be allowed a handgun of their own_

Imagine if we could exit our mechs and commandeer someone elses mech or plant a bomb on it or something that would be crazy

It would be stinking sweet if we could not only get out of the mech but run around and actually do dammage to other mechs. Disable them or sneak around and maybe be able to snipe them in place normal mechs can't get too!

My buddies and I did 4-on-1 battles in MechWarrior 3... 4 Elementals with upgraded engines and current lasers could beat up a mech like the Daishi pretty good...

An Elemental type mech could also provide different tactics and a new strategy... maybe it isn't visible on the radar when boosting_ It could be very useful among a group of B-Class mechs, as it could torment the enemy while the heavier mechs attacked as usual.

I so love the idea of being able to exit my mech.  I think it would be cool if there was a way to sit on the back of another mech if you exit your own mech just before its destroyed by the enemy.  You would float with jetpack onto your friend and help them out somehow much like a technician does.

But then, can you respawn if you are sitting on the back of a friendly's mech_ Can a mech carry multiple pilots who trashed theirs_ Can pilots jump on to enemy mechs and torment them_ If so, how would you get them off_ :blink:
