Lemme explain.. How the hell man can determine on whether such an event -unworthy of any public award or, IMHO, a banality- occurs due to connectivity issues, atmospheric conditions, compulsive Garage matters or just due to that hypothetical "ragequit" which seems to be feeding such a bizarre conception of yours about what awards and prizes should "whatever" in Hawken.
Maybe some few new chunks of code in order to report preys about their prosecutors on radar could be good idea too. Although something says me that this might well been considered up there already.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuh to you.. Darkpulse.. lol
P.S. Show Level&Rank info on players in the TAB's window and let noobies to ragequit if required.. .)

2nd Place = Not winning
Not winning = Losing
I don't know, the message seems accurate to me.

Where in team games, assuming teams are even - half loses, half wins. Zero-sum.
Having a placement message, or if they just cut the you win/you lose fuzzy bunny and just showed the scoreboard might be better.

Talking about deathmatch, it says 'You lose' or whatever. Ok, so you came in third, therefore you lose to two people and win against the other nine! It's not a negative sum game, its a zero-sum again. Top equals bottom, Second top equals second bottom and so forth. Sorry but if you didn't come first, you didn't win the match by any means, but you didn't lose it entirely unless you come in last obviously. The game should always recognise the winning player, saying they shouldn't is like saying the Olympics shouldn't have medal ceremonies. Why play the game_ Sure its fun but what are you achieving each game_ What are you progressing towards_ Another mech_ Ok, and what after that, the game needs targets and goals for each game as well as for your overall progression. By working on the smaller game by game stuff, it helps you attain the larger goals laid out before you which are much harder to tackle without that break down or help.

Yes but would you like to have the same message saying " You lose" or whatever, Instead have a more constructive message that make them want to play and achive more_ Have somthink like "You lost the match, Better luck next time" Somthink along them lines. Make the person on the other side feel like hes/shes done their best and not make him/her fell like fuzzy bunny.

No I'd rather have You lose. 'Better luck next time' is so patronising. You should know yourself if you have done your best. You shouldn't need pampering. A single game isn't even that big a deal. There isn't money at steak or anything like that. You don't actually lose anything. The type of message you are suggesting isn't 'constructive'. A constructive comment would be 'work on your aim' or something like that. Better luck next time is a fairly empty sentiment coming from generically programmed in messages in game. Nobody is actually saying that to you, just like nobody is actually telling you you've lost. If anything, it should just say 'So-and-so wins' to avoid all this needless controversy.

They're generally the only competition with whoever is in first. Everybody else is fodder.

Players that feel they should be catered to or pampered because they lost really need to stop playing competitive games.
I love what George Carlin said on this :

You may think so but there are more less competitive players out there that would prefer a softer let down rather than "you lose" Look at Halo 3, At the end of the match it would say Red or Blue Team wins, Game over. Its not directed at the player personaly where as You lose is.
