Mad Cat (Thats my t3h pwnd machine lol),
Heavyarms both first gen and custom,
Holy type SV from Phantom Crash,
Arbalest ARX-8 form Full Metal Panic (Al is freaking funny),
Dann of Thursday from Gun X Sword,
Kampfer from War in Pocket (That thing was armed to the teeth!),
OH! Tripods from War of the worlds (2005),
Macross/robotech (dont know the robot name) but this series basically got me into giant robots
Is where I soar, and your world is no more.

While it wasn't a good series, Gasaraki had some fantastic mecha designs, the model kits were astonishingly good (if only they weren't out of print).
There will always be a special place in my heart for the Titans of the Warhammer 40k universe. They're big and solid, slow and stompy. Forgeworld has done some pretty good work in bringing those to life with their huge and impossibly expensive model kits.
Given that I was one of the crazy bastards who played Steel Battalion back in the day, I'd be a fool for not mentioning some of those designs. The Regal Dress series of VTs and the Scareface are great designs. Hai Shi Dao forever! Repel the foreign invaders!
Five Star Stories, though a little obscure has some of the more different mecha designs you'll see. Specifically check out the Knight of Gold, Bang Doll and Schpeltor designs.
