Speaking of the second season can anyone clarify the ending for me, like PM me or something, because to this day I still don't understand what I just watched.

Funny you say that, since it was the same Korean animation studio that worked on "Batman: The Animated Series" that did a lot of primary animation and drawing for Big O.
And I agree, Big O is a favorite of mine too. It would be my 'cruisin for chicks' mech.
3 of my favs come from Robotech (with all thanks to Macross), as that was really what started my fandom of 'giant robots'. The SDF-1, is surely tops. I mean it's a space-ship but a mech. The M.A.C. II is huge greatness. And of course, the Veritech fighters.
Also loved Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and Gundam Sandrock. Mech with cape = coolness. Though the Serpent Customs from that were also quite nice.
Battletech Mechs - a lot of them. Atlas, Shadowcat, Raven, Hunchback to name a few.
So many mechs to like though, I've not found too many that I didn't like.

Timber Wolf/Mad Cat from Mechwarrior
Tallgeese from Gundam Wing
Honestly though, it's hard to find giant war machines that aren't awesome.
