Would you like to see a Marquee/Event/Status box advertising events {ie: servers down, routine maintenance, upcoming events, etc...} available in the garage__

How about a marquee {AKA: stock ticker box} so we can get up to date server messages or special events_
When I played BF2142 I could get loads of game information through one of the boxes.

It also comes in handy for when the servers are down for maintenance.
I was in my game the "the server crashed" and I hadn't a clue. I had to exit the game to find out there was a maintenence routine going on.

A marquee with red or yellow flashing would send a message in the garage and would be less frusterating to players that drop.

Just look at the top of the launcher or the site :P

In order to access the launcher marquee or view the website, I must minimize or close the game.

The idea of my post was to make a Marquee available in the Garage.
Otherwise you get aggrivated then frusterated, close the game out of exacerbation and find what's going on via the launcher or website
Only after a few wasted minutes will you find out why you can't find a server.

Please put the MARQUEE or a NEWSBOX in the Garage!

Wow, didn't even realize this was from November and then necroed (and then necroed again ;)). I actually forgot my post entirely. :P I realize now that I didn't pick up you meant in game. Still, if you are playing about the time when the shut down servers for maintenance they would have put it up on the site/launcher, and if the servers are already down, you can't get into the game anyways, so you wouldn't be able to see it. I do like the idea however.

I just wish we didn't have to go to the launcher to see the server status.

that's the whole reason a tickerbox or marquee in the garage would prove most useful.

Will there be a "server message box" for the garage in the next patch_ It would be great to see a news ticker or something in the next patch.
