Blue and red are bad colours to use on different opponents supposed to confront each other.

The blue light that emanates from most computer monitors interferes with the body's circadian rhythm.

Installing a simple free program called f.lux onto your machine can fix this problem and potentially prevent insomnia.

It is possible to turn Platinum into Gold.

However it is completely useless as platinum is more expensive

"Rule of Thumb" Was derived from an old English law which stated that you could not beat your wife  with any thing wider than your thumb.  :ninja:

"Rule of thumb" occurs in various languages also as "rule of fist" "finger tip's rule" and "rule of finger". It shows up in Hebrew, Persian, and Turkish as well as Germanic languages, suggesting it originates from rather far in antiquity.

From the wiki:

"It is often claimed that the term's etymological origin lies in a law that limited the maximum thickness of a stick with which it was permissible for a man to beat his wife. English common law before the reign of Charles II permitted a man to give his wife "moderate correction", but no "rule of thumb" (whether called by this name or not) has ever been the law in England. Such "moderate correction" specifically excluded beatings, allowing the husband only to confine a wife to the household."

In Mortal Kombat, Sektor and Cyrax's code names in the beta are Ketchup and Mustard, respectively, due to their colors. Sektor's main projectiles in the series were rockets/missiles while Cyrax's were grenades and nets.

Which is why I naed my Rocketeer Ketchup'Jizah and my Grenadier Mustard'Jizah.

Not so much because it is a gas, but because "laughing gas" is nitrous oxide.

Yes, that nitrous oxide. The one that people are always on about in drag racing movies. Applications include rocket motors, internal combustion, and anaesthesia.

Due to a very high latent heat of fusion it is sometimes more economical to transport aluminum (aluminium) in molten form.

In Psychological Effects of Combat, a 2008 paper included in the book Stress of War, Conflict and Disaster, Dave Grossman and Bruce K. Siddle wrote that in surveys of soldiers during World War II, a quarter of combat veterans admitted that they urinated in their pants in combat, and a quarter admitted that they defecated in their pants in combat.

Did you know that if America had scrapped its problem-laden F-35 fighter fleet project, it would've saved approximately 1 trillion dollars? That's more than the entirety of Australia's gross domestic product, and enough money to do one of the following:

1) Provide free college to every student in America for the next 23 years

2) Buy every homeless person in america a home

3) Unilaterally support every humanitarian crisis

4) Feed every schoolchild in the country

5) Rebuild america's infrastructure

6) Fund peacekeeping missions
