Formula 1 cars are heavily reliant on the down force generated by the massive wings for traction, to the point that you can actually spin out of a corner by going to slow around it, thus not generating enough down force to keep the tires on the pavement.

It's possible to tattoo the eyelids but in order to do so, a spoon must be placed between the eye & the lid to keep it in place since the skin is so thin there.
This technique is sometimes used to do 'permanent eyeliner makeup'

Colchicine is a very efficient and awful drug for suicide. Take enough of it and you'll die within a few days of multiple organ failure and cardiac arrest, despite the doctors best attempts. You will be aware of your short-term tragic fate, and watch your progressive demise and ascending paralysis. And a bunch of unpleasant digestive stuff, too.

Colonel-in-Chief Sir Nils Olav is a king penguin who resides in Edinburgh Zoo, Scotland. He is the mascot and Colonel-in-Chief of the Norwegian Royal Guard. Nils was visited by soldiers from the Norwegian Royal Guard on 15 August 2008 and awarded knighthood. The honour was approved by King Harald V. During the ceremony a crowd of several hundred people joined the 130 guardsmen at the zoo to hear a citation from the King read out, which described Nils as a penguin "in every way qualified to receive the honour and dignity of knighthood".

The Husum Red Pied is a rare breed of domestic pig with the nickname Danish Protest Pig. It originates in North Frisia in Southern Schleswig in the beginning of the 20th century, when Danes living in the area under Prussian rule were prohibited from raising the Danish flag and kept and displayed the Protest Pig instead. Due to its red color, its broad white vertical belt and a trace of a white horizontal belt resembling the colors of the Flag of Denmark, it was made a symbol of their cultural identity.

As the bear was less than a year old, he initially had problems swallowing and was fed with condensed milk from an emptied vodka bottle. The bear was subsequently fed with fruit, marmalade, honey and syrup, and was often rewarded with beer, which became his favourite drink. He also enjoyed smoking and eating cigarettes. He enjoyed wrestling and was taught to salute when greeted.
To get him on a British transport ship when the unit sailed from Egypt to fight with the British 8th Army in the Italian campaign, he was officially drafted into the Polish Army as a Private and was listed among the soldiers of the 22nd Artillery Supply Company of the Polish II Corps. As an officially enlisted "soldier" of the company, he lived with the other men in their tents or in a special wooden crate, which was transported by truck. According to numerous accounts, during the Battle of Monte Cassino Wojtek helped by transporting ammunition never dropping a single crate.
Following the end of World War II in 1945, the bear was transported to Berwickshire in Scotland, along with parts of the II Corps. Following demobilization on November 15, 1947, Wojtek was given to the Edinburgh Zoo. There he spent the rest of his days, often visited by journalists and former Polish soldiers, some of whom would toss him cigarettes, which he proceeded to eat because there was no one there to light them for him. Wojtek died in December 1963, at the age of 21. At the time of his death he weighed nearly 500 pounds (230 kg) and was over 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall.

If you ever look at the metal bits inside of a transformer or an electric motor, you may notice that it is made of stacked laminated metal sheets instead of a solid piece. This is to mitigate eddy currents that would otherwise be caused by the magnetic field flux.
In the same vein, if you hold a magnet next to a spinning conductive but non-magnetic wheel (made, for example, of aluminum) the magnet will resist the wheels motion by inducing eddy currents. IIRC a certain rocket car made use of a similar method for braking, as traditional brake pads would have been ineffective at extreme speeds.

In Virginia it is illegal to exceed 5 mph through any intersection or crossroad.
Each Virginia County or City jurisdiction may place individual restrictions or conditions on the Right to Bear Arms, openly or concealed, and whether or not a CCW license is required to do either or both. And if you carry a edged weapon with a blade of 4" or longer, you must possess as a minimum, a license for a concealed handgun (wtf?). What may be legal in one city or county, might get you a felony conviction 10 miles down the highway. There are 95 county and 38 city jurisdictions in Virginia. Happy motoring.
