What would the G2 Berserker be like o.o 

I am so in love with it, as it has been my go to mech for a losing match since 2012 :3, I just can't fail to hope there will be a G2 of light mechs.

Lol, no. G2 mechs are unlocked simply by fully levelling up the Assault & Raider, then you can buy them with HC. No need to spend real money. They were a gimmick at the time and mainly an experiment in different weapon combos; dual-wielding Miniguns is very good upclose, terrible at medium to long range, for example.

 

I do hope for G2 versions of other select mechs though...

G2 Berserker would be very slow on the ground (average B-class boost speeds), but have better air mobility and fuel tank/regeneration than the standard berserker.  I could see it having two SMCs and a damage boost ability that also boosted attack speed.

I love this idea, though it overlaps with what the g2 assault does a bit too much to need a g2 dedicated to the same thing.  Maybe two different sustained weapons? Like hawkins and vulcan, to mix things up.  I also just want hawkins on more stuff because it looks and sounds cool.

The seeker i might could get into. A super-heavy with an AR?  Both with the anemic XT designation,

and unusable nerfing like was done to G2A and G2R? With no buffing of the "XT" weps this may not go far.

Not worth grinding 13k HC, then leveling up 150,000xp of a mech.

If it's snazzy enough though, the limp widgets get stiffened up a little, and isn't the ridiculous cost of most mechs in this game, I could just be proven a liar.

Each G2 satisfies a niche version of the original mech's playstyle. Should the devs focus on G2s initially? No. Do G2s have a place in the game? Hell f****** yes.

With the zerker ability that might run the risk of being OP. Maybe if the "xt" versions were a nerfed for this particular g2 it would be fine.

Well we have its loadout "confirmed" so what I said is kinda irrelevant now.  This thing could be a real monster.  I am noticing that g2 mechs don't have detonatable primaries, which I don't have much of an opinion on, but I'm wondering if that's just a trend forming or if it's a design decision.

 

Can we get a source on the info, btw?

The raider has a walk/boost ability.

 

Clearly, the Berzerker G2 must have an air mobility boost.

A G2 Berserker in my mind is actually a class C.. so maybe an ability to jump up quickly, and the plates opening out off it's back To reveal downwards thrusters. It would be able to stay airborne for the cost of no fuel in this state for a few seconds with only a slight damage increase and being able to aim directly downwards. It could have two SMC's or Vulcans, or just it's normal TOW SMC setup. But I effectively see it looking like some insane dropship..

Haha, I always forget to use the ability for 7/8 of the match. Always.

 

I'm such an irresponsible Zerker main.
