That is interesting... headlights being used for blinding opponent mechs? Again the realism vs gameplay matter. A flare on your eyes could be too intense and the camera could need a moment to balance light levels. Luckily there's the HUD to assist, but might not be enough!

 

The depth of this night time playing is increasing by the minute.

 

Hahah I didn't meant exactly for blinding opponents. I was talking more about giving the victim some jumpscares besides the existing fear that there's a pred around. :P

I'm working on an atlas of Illal at the moment and I'm including loads of locations for potential game maps.  I'll be including as many illustration as I can do.  So if you have any more ideas for game maps write them in here and I will try to incorporate appropriate locations.

This idea I made could be easy to implement. It is for a sort of underside to the center of the metropolis "Andromeda". The map would take place all underground and the area above would be like Prosk but much "bigger". All you would need to do for the atlas is make sure you implement this taller and highly industrial part of the city.

The underground area would have three sections. One part for cheap residential, one for dark passageways and maybe tanks/crates for storage, and one for heated manufacturing of some molten material, in which you may take large damage for touching it, that is if it were to be on the map. I already have a 3D model of the entire map in my head.

 

More ideas incoming soon.

Yea that was a problem I tried to solve. CTF would could be a great candidate for this map though.

Not to mention a night/underground/otherwise low-lit map would actually be amazing for straight up DM.

Destructible maps look good, not gonna lie, but makes you wonder how much do tactics hold up to them. Of course you'd want some parts of the maps only being destructible.

 

Someone mentioned this before, but I would love to see a gate mechanism you can trigger somehow, limiting direct access between areas. While you control a switch/control panel, you'll be able to open or close gates, and maybe this switch has a cooldown or can only be used from one side at a time. So you have to go another route if you're in the wrong side of the gate.

But I do have this rocket launcher......
