Hello pilots!

after upgrading OS from Win 8.0 to 8.1 on my laptop Hawken is not working anymore. The game starts all right, then at some point either in game or when I'm still in the menu the game freezes and I cannot do anything except ALT+F4 to exit. I tried to fix local files and/or delete and install local files multiple times but nothing helps. Somehow I think it might depend on the .NET redristributable libraries (C++ redristributable seems to be ok). I wanted to install .NET DLLs again so I run uninstall from Control Panel but when I try to install again Windows tells me they are already installed - weird, since I don't even see them in the list of installed programs in Control Panel anymore.
I'd really really like to be able to play Hawken again but I am at a loss as to how to make it work.

Any help is appreciated.
