I know they are gone and I am aware of the problems they had. And I know a lot of people already mentioned it here and talked about it during the dev streams but since there is no single thread dedicated to it I created this one.
 
One of the reasons I want to talk about it is to point out that CA members and other EU players I know would prefer to have private servers in our region.

Well dude, I don't care, I said that cuz before there WERE ones in EU and none in USE. And you know that the biggest two events in TPG and WW are NA events. So ... leave my requests away from yours because they don't cross necessarily.

I think the sentiment speaks for itself that every region needs appropriate private servers. Elite also brings a fair point in that USE servers allow for the greatest compatibility between EU and NA pilots.

The reason I felt like I have to point that out is because I think he made it sound like EU players are comfortable playing on USE servers and I wanted to make it clear that is not how we feel. I know even the EU servers are farther away from him so he got used to play with higher ping and I am aware of those events but the signature did not mention those.

The reason we are touchy about this is because other regions including ours always had to wait for servers and features (like the squad match - the only way that time to do scrims), sometimes for months or we never even got them (like servers running untextured maps or mayhem).

I dont know about you, but i will not play competitively with a RTT of 120+ against opponents with a much lower RTT.

 

Also, judging by the fact that most people i play with and against dont regularly go to USE servers, i think that trying to find a single region thats acceptable for the entire community is a losing proposition.

I would be willing to spend 15 to 20 Euros per month on a decent private server with 12 slots, plus 4 spectator slots.

I'd pay $40/mo for a private server, which I think is about what a US East AWS t2.medium server costs.  I don't know if that's feasible/economically-viable for Reloaded.

 

I also think it's more-viable for clans than individuals.

Hm, I think anyone working in the video game business knows extremely well how sucky it is to play on servers across the world. xD They will probably will add private servers in at some point, just obviously not yet for other problems come first.

Would be great but it is not going to happen. This is a F2P game and they need total control over the servers.

That is not the case. This is why we want servers close to us. EliteShooter only said that because he wanted to participate in US events. He is dedicated and already got used to playing with a horrible ping since there are no African servers. The same goes for most of the Russian players. Yesterday was the first time I saw TheVulong's ping under 100.
