So. I used to use Sony Vegas. Unfortunately my current ISP reports so I can't pirate it again. So I need a good, full featured video editor comprable to Vegas. Anyone got anything for me?

I spent about 3 months learning Sony Vegas pro 9. If you can afford it or get your hands on it, use that. There are great videos online that can teach you neat things. I've been using it since 2009 or 2010. Can't exactly remeber. But for some years. Unfortunately... I can no haz it no more!

Digis... It's some wireless bunghole network because the municpality where I live blockades good ISPs. I think we're getting fiber this year. Probably tricked them into thinking it was for phones

I imagine you're not looking for a paid video editor, but I'd suggest Adobe Premier if you're looking for a really good program. It's used professionally in the industry. You can get a free 30 day trial, and see if you like it.
Otherwise, there's one I use called "Power Director". it's a much more noob-friendly software, with a very intuitive UI. It also produces videos extremely rapidly compared to most softwares. It's much cheaper in general, and it too offers a 30 day trial. The only catch with the trial is that it adds a watermark, which I think only lasts for a small duration on the video. Given enough empty space at the start of the video, you can use the Youtube editor to clip off the segment with the watermark. Sort of a cheesy work-around.

Get Premier on subscription if you have any form of income and do plan on using it quite regularly, the subscription fee isn't soul crushing and together with Vega are the best video editing apps you gonna get. If you want something free or inexpensive yet decent to simply mess around with, you are likely out of luck.

Sony Vegas is awesome I agree, although I just use it for cutting videos up, nothing special, cause you know, I'm noob.
Should move to Australia, Australian ISPs don't really give a damn, well TPG doesn't. Dallas movie club crap made iiNet give up its customer data to look for pirates so avoid them for a bit

I mean, acquired through...dubious methods if I may say. They do exist and it's worth getting if you can. Just upgraded from Sony Vegas 10.

But yeah, Adobe Premiere Pro would be my tool of choice.

Not sure if it'll be perfect for your purposes, but AppGeeker video editor is a pretty solid video editor, I've been a long term fan of it.

Vegas has one big advantage over Premiere (last I compared the two)...
Vegas can handle multi-track audio import (which recorders such as DXTory produce) without having to split the audio into a separate file. Premiere can't do this, it only imports one track into the editor.
When I edit, I'm usually dealing with very large files (lossless 1080/720p video that run around 30 min plus, and high quality audio both stereo and mono), being able to import everything in one pass is a huge time saver.
