That sucks, I remember going through my brief 'angry dude who curses people out on the internet phase' where everyone else was ghey, and I had had the carnal knowledge of their mothers, also my scrotum was going to be placed in various mouths.

 

But yeah mute them, support ticket, and/or grow a pair are your only options. Some day you are gonna have a boss or someone who is gonna say something like "I really don't give a fawk about your dead family, get this done or you're fired."  Don't be the guy who has to go cry in the bathroom because some jerkoff hurt your feefees.

My advice is to make it your goal to absolutely destroy somebody in-game. They use their words against you, so use your skills and treat them like toilet water. Throw in a taunt when they die, or hell say Rekt when they die regardless. Take the high road because as long as you don't play their game they will get frustrated. Getting better at the game should be a goal, but why not have fun with it?

Ok ! I kinda wanna just add this suggestion... (This is for in game, on forums is I think a different story)

Just add a simple helper thungy to good trusted players that are willing to do the thing and when they play and see something bad they just mute or something for a certain amount of time... Or maybe we could put my point system I posted earlier in the thread. It should be community helpers, and theus just help and not get payed. They play and if they see bad behavior, they mute or put a point so that if there are too many points, the person gets muted.

The only drawback here is taking advantage of this power. So maybe make some system where they do not have complete power over the thing but can contribute. (My point system makes the best contribution system for now in my eyes ...haven't thought of other systems yet) so yeah

Just saying, I think we should have some in game helpers, just normal community members who don't have any advantage over others but are helping the community....

I think the most entertaining and effective way to deal with a dong who is greefing or trolling you during a game is to... wait for it... completely ignore them.  There is nothing that befuddles a verbal bully more than getting no reaction from his/her target AT ALL.

 

Alternately, if I'm feeling sparky, I'll ignore them completely in chat and then send them a Friend Request... and then continue to ignore them.

I would like to know where the funding to pay this team of 24 hour chat moderators, who obviously must sit in on every match, is to come from?

 

It does really, really suck to have to put up with the ignorance and brutal disrespect of a bunch of pieces of crap whose sick minds find it appropriate and enjoyable to sling disgusting speech at others.  I wish there was a magic button that would just instantly erase them all from existence.  But there isn't and it is just the price of mingling with any group of random people.  People suck.  Take the high road and ignore them, that's all you can actually do in this life.

A lot of games likes "Dark Orbit" and others have moderators withouth paying monney, just asking to the comunity if someone want be moderator for free, so if the monney its a problem there are ways to dont pay anything...just saying

Has no one ever heard of community moderation? Which Riot, which was mentioned, used for LoL? I guess not, judging by the responses.

 

I guess the Hawken community really is garbage.
