Hello fellow Pilots, (Hi Cap'n Josh)

So I was not able to make E3 this year (med school sooo gets in the way of things) but I still want to pitch an idea to Cap'n Josh and the community for your feed back.

Right now IMO the best multiplayer FPS games are actually PVE and not PVP. I believe the reason a game like Warframe has continued success in this industry is because it gives all players a chance to join up (Free to play) and become part of a massive elite covert assasin coalition. Where Warframe makes their money is in that people want individuallity. They want to stand out amongst their peers, so gamers are willing to pay for their individuallity while hunting down the "bad guys" online with friends.

I have experienced a sense of this PVE "group mission"  in what is already present in Hawken, however in the end it just feels like 25 matches of TDM. I know the intent of Hawken is PVP and I never want that to change, but I do want Hawken to grow and the devs to make Mega $$$$.

Imagine if you will with me,

You and 3 other pilots are droppend in at night in an old abandoned part of the city. Your mission comes in from that cute girl from the tutorial. You and your squads are to locate and destroy the four reactors of the enemy mech base. Your team decides to forego the stealthy approach and bust through the front door with Tow rockets. 3 of the 4 reactors go down with medium resistance, on the fourth you hear someone over your headset laughing when all of the sudden drops down from the sky a GIANT mech world boss...

Think you get where I am going with this. Missions from point A to point B with skirmishes all along the way, mission objectives, big stylized bad guys. I know some of you might hate this idea, but in the end PVE is just more fun for the general public. I feel so much better dominating the Bots *stupid bots* then getting my but kicked in a 1 sided TDM. Yes I know how to play and yes I love PVP. The future of Hawken however might be in a rare place to pull the $$$ from both markets. Add a founders pack, rare variations of mechs, and most importantly big giant explosions... now we are talking fun, sustainability, and $$$ for those that sit on "the board of directors" for Hawken.

Constructive feedback always welcomed

The game you are describing isn't Hawken. Adding another game mode is going to distract a very small dev team from actually finishing the product at hand. I'm already concerned about this talk of partnering with MegaBots because that reeks of the multi-platform nonsense that annihilated Adhesive's budget.

The game modes you are describing are made by teams many sizes larger than Reloaded's or even Adhesive's when it was max size. There's a reason single-player content is dying out amongst triple-a developers - it is not cost-effective to produce.

Ah good point indeed. I see what you mean by "cost effective" and you are right. Making a whole new single player campaign with co-op support would be the ultimate dream Hawken game, but not realistic in terms of man power/time/resources ($).

What I describe though is pretty much already in place. Just jumped off a run of Coop and all that is really missing is:

1)new maps (or make old maps longer) just repeat the tile set and make it feel like we are moving through a big world. then for next mission make us go through it in reverse. (hire a level designer. they are still interviewing right?)

3)mission objectives to replace the "rounds" (make the new guy they hired do it, sorry do not know his name)

2)voice actors for world boss (make tiggs fo it)

All the custom stuff is good to go... would just need to have a all dark mech with gold trimmings to have the "elite" versions of the mech.

I don't know how this would work game-wise, sound very interesting tho. This would be a supernice way to get more of that desired lore into the game. Only downside is that it should be random generated to some extend or it'll get really repetive pretty fast. And we all know how randomised missions usually turn out.

I agree totally with you, games withouth coperative missions and withouth campaign seems like someone was lazzy doing the game, the usual diference between a good and bad games its the campaign, and the movies or the missions who explain you the game history, the characters on that historys, etc... thats its what makes you feel more real the history and love more the game. We need campaigns, missions, movies , characters , new maps, night missions, more items and weapons, realistic explosions and efects, new patchs with new items each month....pff i know its a lot but if we want this dont look like the alpha version of a unfinished game...then we need that

Adding new game modes its going to distract the dev team from actually finishing the product ? man actually the only thing they did its change the servers and put the name of the city on it(i know they did more but looks like that to be honest). This game need looks finished and itsnt solved moving the servers and fixing the few bugs they can find....the game needs a lot of things to looks finished, in the promotion videos there was destructible walls , fire balls efects and a lot of things, we need this things and a lot more, we need new maps, new efects, movies, campaign , missions...etc..... if you only are going to do a shooter mod of "titans fall" then the game was finished yet in the pre alpha. No we cant live only with 4 maps and a multiplayer shooter, because its crapy, boring and was done yet in the pre alpha. If you dont want the comunity guet empty the game must have all what full game have, like "call of duty" have his campaign or "battlefield" have 20 maps, maybe not do it fast, but people its paying (paying only for skins but still its monney) for a full game, not a multiplayer shoter mode, even war thunder who its free to play have more maps, hundred of planes and tanks to choose and new addings all the weeks, come on new developers took the game almost finished why dont put the things we are missing ?. And if at the end its just only a multiplayer mode we need a lot more of maps, but remember the death of games like "Quake" was when in "Quake 3" they was lazy and did a shoter multyplayer arena without campaign, this killed the game, because we enjoy the multyplayer but we love the games for their characters and their historys.
